My 2026 Launch Trends (Part 2): What’s Working Without More Funnels

If you haven’t read Part 1 yet, start there — it’ll make this episode hit even harder.
Read Part 1 here

Part 2 is where we get into what I’m seeing over and over again in the behind-the-scenes launch debriefs (and it’s not “build a more complicated funnel”).

It’s the opposite.

A lot of what’s working right now (and heading into 2026) is simpler, more intentional, and way more focused on what’s happening behind the scenes — not just what you blast out publicly.

These 2026 launch trends are coming straight from the conversations inside Behind the Launch, plus what I’m seeing with clients and students. And if you want to eavesdrop on those conversations yourself:

The 2026 Launch Trends I’m Watching Closely

1) Simplicity is the new sophistication

One of the biggest shifts: launches that are working right now are often ruthlessly simple.

Not “lazy.” Not “bare minimum.”
Just… not over-engineered.

Think less: “Let me duct-tape 14 tools together.”
More: “How do I make it easy for someone to understand this and say yes?”

I’m seeing simple sales pages, simple checkout, simple messaging, and fewer moving parts — which has a second benefit: when your launch is simpler, you can run more promotions without feeling like everything has to ride on one big moment.

Quick question to ponder
Where have you made your launch more complicated than your buyer needs it to be?

2) The backend is where the magic happens

If 2026 launch trends had a headline, it might be this:

You probably don’t have a “lead problem.”
You have a follow-up + visibility problem.

In this episode, I talked about how much revenue is hiding in your existing list when you actually pay attention to behaviors like:

  • clicked but didn’t buy
  • engaged but didn’t register
  • watched but didn’t take the next step

The smart move in 2026 is building backend systems that show you who’s most likely to buy — so you’re not defaulting to “more traffic, more ads, more everything.”

And yes… this is where segmentation becomes the cheat code. I even mentioned the tool I’m using, RightMessage, to segment from the start and personalize messaging based on those segments (affiliate link).

3) Pre-selling builds momentum before you “launch”

This one is not new… but it’s getting louder.

The more you can build desire and decision-making before cart open, the less your launch depends on last-minute urgency and Hail Mary emails.

Pre-selling can look like:

  • a waitlist with a real plan (not just “join my waitlist!”)
  • an early workshop or preview
  • an early-bird “raise your hand” moment
  • a behind-the-scenes series that builds certainty

When you pre-sell, you create momentum + natural FOMO because people want to go where people already are.

4) AI is your co-pilot (not your CEO)

AI is absolutely part of the 2026 launch trends conversation, but the winning approach isn’t “let AI do my whole launch.”

It’s: use AI to make you faster, sharper, and more personalized — without losing your voice.

You gave examples like using AI to analyze transcripts and pull out:

  • objections
  • questions
  • fears
  • messaging angles
…and then turning that into smarter emails and tighter positioning.

But you also said the part people skip: if your messaging isn’t dialed in, AI can make your content sound “fine” and yet still feel soulless.

5) Show. Don’t Just Tell.

This is the trend that keeps popping up because it solves the biggest buyer question:

“Okay… but what is this actually like?”

You referenced “private tours” as a hybrid between a sales call and an open house — and how pairing that experience with AI personalization creates a custom, high-trust buyer journey without adding a ton of manual labor.

In other words: show them. Don’t just tell them.
